Walnut Shell Powder, made from the ground shells of walnuts has abrasive but non-scratch qualities. Add to formulations or use directly to enhance the exfoliation or to fortify cleaning compounds. Add this at point of use to clean the haze off external windows, to clean your shower screen or add to DIY skin exfoliation products.

Even though Natural Spa Supplies we have never sold products which contain microbeads, and we do whatever we can to steer clear of plastics, we are delighted that the UK has banned the use of microplastics in most cosmetic products from 2018. Meanwhile we are trying the Walnut Shell Powder ourselves added at the point of need to household cleaning jobs involving soapnuts such as removing stubborn films from windows and shower screens, and with hemp oil soap for speedy sink cleaning and oven cleaning, for cleaning the sinks and baths and we are getting great results – just the way we like it – chemical free and without rubber gloves!

Since media reports in the last few years of the damage and harm the plastic micro beads from facial scrubs do to the ocean and it’s animals, I stopped buying them. I was so glad to see that Sally has now added the Walnut Shell Exfoliant to her range of products. Not only is it a natural alternative, but also amazing on your skin! Only a small amount is needed, and it is gentle on the skin. My already soft feeling skin (from using Sally’s other products) felt even softer after use!
