How to Choose a Sponge for Natural Face Care
Our small 1 and 2” silk fina sponges are ideal to remove and apply make up.

Soft Elephant Ear Triangles – Super Soft, Luxurious and with a Fine Texture
Cut from much larger Soft Elephant Ear Sponges into traditional triangular shapes, these triangles have a thicker body than the ear shaped elephant ear sponges and a flat profile. Again these sponges feel super luxurious to use and they are idea for applying toner or light cleansing. They dry quickly after use.
Soft Elephant Ear Wedges – Super Soft, Luxurious and with a Fine Texture
Cut from much larger Soft Elephant Ear Sponges into traditional triangular shapes, these triangles have a thicker body than the ear shaped elephant ear sponges and a thicker profile than the elephant ear triangles. Again these sponges feel super luxurious to use and they are idea for applying toner or light cleansing. They dry quickly after use.
Sea Wool – Soft and Dense
The sea wool sponge feels as soft as fleece and it suited for delicate skin, sensitive skin and even babys’ skin. Being the most absorbent of all the sponges, it is easy control the moisture levels, between damp and fully wet. As they are so absorbent, they take a little longer to dry than our other sponges. Ideal for washing the face. Choose from 3 or 4 inches.
Silk Fina Sponges – Firm and robust, medium textured surface
Characterized by many sponge fibrins (sponge fibres) projecting from the surface, these sponges reach inside pores to deep clean. Available in a range of sizes from 1 and 2 inch for make up application and removal and 3- 4 inch for face washing, these sponges are easy to care for and quick to dry.
Honeycomb ‘close cut’, soft and easy care
These designer cut honeycomb sponges are trimmed to take away excess bulk and to leave you with a easy to handle, durable face care sponge. Choose sizes from 4 to 5 inches.

I had purchased a silk fina some years ago for face cleaning and just replaced it. They do last for ages with proper care. It’s been amazing over the years to see the change brought about by using a natural sponge instead of a face cloth. The pores are clean, the skin feels soft, soothed and glows. It’s a very lovely experience to wash your face with a natural sponge twice a day, and even more if you need a soothing break!

I purchased the soft wedge facial sponge on Sally’s recommendation and I I’ve been delighted with it. I had a small patch of dry skin on my left eye socket. No amount of oil or cream could deal with it. Since using the face sponge together with a very gently baby cleanser the dry patch has disappeared completely.
