Product Description:

Discover the Soladey Rhythm 2 sonic ionic toothbrush with two vibration modes, replaceable heads and a brush stand. Four colours. Gift wrapping

Choose a gentler setting or a higher vibration speed, explore the honeycomb-shaped bristles and enjoy the convenience of a supplied brush stand. Available in white, blue, pink and black, with optional gift wrapping, it is a thoughtful practical present for someone who enjoys discovering new technology.

At a glance

  • Two sonic settings: approximately 18,000 or 22,000 vibrations per minute.
  • Sonic and ionic functions: battery-powered vibrations alongside a light-activated ionic system.
  • Replaceable brush head: supplied with one medium honeycomb head containing binchotan charcoal and silver ions.
  • Brush stand included: a dedicated place to keep your toothbrush upright.
  • AAA battery operated: one battery required, not included.
  • Four colour choices: white, blue, pink or black.
  • Optional gift wrapping: available for an additional £5.

Two brushing modes, one simple control

Press the button once for Standard mode, approximately 18,000 vibrations per minute, and twice for High mode, approximately 22,000 vibrations per minute.

The small, rapid movements offer a different brushing sensation from larger rotating brush heads. If you find some electric toothbrushes too intense, the choice of settings lets you explore a different feel. Comfort is individual: use gentle pressure rather than scrubbing.

What makes the Rhythm 2 different?

Most people are familiar with the mechanical action of an electric toothbrush. The Rhythm 2 adds Soladey’s ionic system to its sonic brushing action.

The sonic function uses an AAA battery to produce rapid, gentle vibrations. The ionic system incorporates three solar panels and a titanium dioxide semiconductor rod, and is designed to operate with light and moisture. Its purpose is to assist plaque removal alongside the physical action of brushing.

The HOTARU indicator lamp at the base of the handle provides a visible indication of the light-powered system. Keep the panels exposed to adequate light during use, and wet the bristles and semiconductor rod before brushing.

The two functions have different power sources: the battery powers the sonic vibration, while the ionic function is light activated.

A closer look at the honeycomb brush head

Your toothbrush comes with a medium honeycomb brush head. Its hexagonal bristles and pointed tip are designed for brushing tooth surfaces and reaching around the back teeth. The bristles incorporate binchotan charcoal and silver ions.

The head is replaceable, so you can keep the handle and change the brushing head as needed. Packs of four honeycomb replacement heads are available as an option on this page. Select carefully: the replacement-head pack is not a complete toothbrush.

What is included?

  • One Soladey Rhythm 2 toothbrush handle in your selected colour.
  • One medium honeycomb brush head containing binchotan charcoal and silver ions.

You will need: one AAA battery, supplied separately.

How to use your Soladey Rhythm 2

  1. Fit an appropriate AAA battery in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Wet the bristles and semiconductor rod with water.
  3. Make sure the solar panels and semiconductor receive adequate natural or artificial light. Keeping your mouth slightly open can help expose the system to light.
  4. Select Standard or High mode using the button.
  5. Brush gently and methodically over the outer, inner and chewing surfaces of your teeth, following your dentist’s advice on technique and brushing time.
  6. Rinse after use. Remove the brush head periodically to clean the rod, following the manufacturer’s care instructions, then refit it and place the toothbrush in its stand.

Keep to your dentist-recommended toothpaste and oral-care routine. The ionic feature should not be treated as a reason to stop using fluoride toothpaste or to replace interdental cleaning and dental check-ups.

Our personal experience

At Natural Spa Supplies, we enjoy trying the products we offer as part of our own routines. I use rechargeable batteries in my Rhythm 2 and appreciate being able to recharge rather than replace them.

I have also written about my personal dental-care experience, including my before-and-after dental charts, in 10 Questions to Ask Your Dentist. This is my individual experience, not a promise of the same result for everyone.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a rechargeable battery?

I use rechargeable AAA batteries in my own Rhythm 2. This is our personal experience rather than confirmation that every rechargeable battery is suitable. Follow the manufacturer’s battery requirements and use a compatible battery and charger. A battery and charger are not included.

Does it need to be plugged in to charge?

The Rhythm 2 uses a removable AAA battery rather than a built-in rechargeable battery. If you choose a compatible rechargeable AAA, it is charged separately in its appropriate charger.

Does the ionic function need a battery?

The ionic system is light activated and uses moisture during brushing. The AAA battery powers the sonic vibration function.

Can it work under bathroom lighting?

The light-activated system can use suitable natural or artificial light. Ensure the panels and semiconductor are exposed to adequate light during brushing and follow the manufacturer’s directions.

Do I still use toothpaste?

Continue using the toothpaste and brushing routine recommended by your dentist. Do not stop fluoride toothpaste solely because the toothbrush includes ionic technology.

How long should I brush?

Follow your dentist’s recommended brushing duration and the manufacturer’s instructions. Gentle, thorough technique matters more than pressing hard or extending brushing unnecessarily.

Which replacement heads fit?

Our existing product information lists compatibility with Soladey replacement heads. Honeycomb replacement heads are offered on this page in packs of four. Other head choices are listed on our Soladey 5 product page. Check the head option and compatibility before ordering.

Is it suitable for children?

Check the manufacturer’s age and head-size guidance before buying for a child. Children need adult supervision, and should not remove the brush head themselves.

Can I use it on my pet?

Ask your vet whether this model and a suitable dedicated head are appropriate for your animal. Do not share a brush head between a person and a pet, and do not assume that suitability for adult human use confirms suitability for animals.

Is the replacement-head option a complete toothbrush?

No. The honeycomb replacement-head option contains four heads only. Choose a colour option, or its gift-wrapped equivalent, to order a complete Rhythm 2 toothbrush.
