Once the bristles are mounted on the brush head, they are cut to produce a ridge of bristles which are great for reaching the notches in between the molars giving better contact.
Light enters the solar panel, situated on the end of the handle. Once the rod and bristles are wet and the toothbrush is in the mouth, a circuit is formed and ions travel up the titanium rod into the bristles of the toothbrush. The ions travel out of the bristles onto the surfaces of the teeth and mouth.
Prior to cleaning the teeth, a biofilm of plaque coats the teeth and tartar and plaque adhere to the teeth surface. These are kept in place with strong positively charged electrical bonds. It normally takes a lot of scrubbing to break these bonds, but normal scrubbing techniques wear away the enamel and damages the gum tissue. This is exactly what we wish to avoid.
By using this ionic toothbrush, a stream of negatively charged ions, effectively release these bonds, allowing the plaque to be brushed away with a gentle action. These ions travel all around the mouth in the saliva and across damp tissues. This means that this brush can clean in places that the bristles don't actually touch - hence, cleaning along the gum line is more effective, the ions penetrate just under the gum line (where the bristles can't reach) and flossing becomes easier.

Just slide the toothbrush head onto the titanium rod, wet the titanium rod, make sure the light in the room is on, or stand near a window, or step outside. Start brushing. Take care, to hold the brush so that light can enter the solar panel. Hold the brush at 45 degrees to the gum line.
It is not necessary to use toothpaste, but if you do, you can use less than you would with normal manual toothbrushes.

It is an really good toothbrush. I can feel my teeth a lot cleaner, and look whiter, too. I wasn't using any toothpaste as it recommended on the package, but the result is better than toothpaste with normal toothbrushes. I am now convinced and going to buy soladey for the rest of my family.
Hard to be certain what the brush is doing. I will have something to measure its performance when I visit my hygienist in a few weeks time. My teeth FEEL smoother after cleaning but are they actually cleaner?

I bought the Soladey 5 ionic solar toothbrush while looking for a way to help clean my teeth and gums and particularly for a significant dental issue which came from previous dentistry. I'm overall very happy with the toothbrush however found the supplied head too harsh for me and particularly where the dental issue causes the nerves to be triggered. So I'm looking forward to trying it with the soft head which I'm confident will make all the difference
[Order #44376] (February 26, 2021) I bought the Soladey ion5 toothbrush during the pandemic from this company. I was looking for a more natural way to clean my teeth. I used it for at least six months but I was not happy with the results. My teeth were not as clean as they had been previously, with dirt build up over time. People have always commented on how white and clean looking my teeth are. But I could see that using this brush without toothpaste was not going to work for me. I was careful to use it well and brush for a good amount of time. That is my personal experience. I would not recommend it. I went back to using my electric toothbrush and my teeth are much better once again. Over the years, I have bought and continue to buy many things from this company, as they are excellent. This product however, was not for me.
Thank you I don’t believe that this toothbrush is working for plaque. Also, I’m not sure where the solar panel is but I believe it’s where I hold the brush which means that the light can’t be activated so altogether very disappointed.

I have been so very pleased with the results gained through using my Ionic Soladay toothbrush, and so too my dentist! It is much gentler on the gum line than an electric or sonic toothbrush, but I would say definately more effective in cleaning, while keeping enamel intact and away from any apparent need for frantic scrubbing! Inflammation has disappeared, to the point where I had to explain to the dentist what I had been using, later sending him photocopies by post, showing information on how the light activation works. No need for toothpaste either... brushing my teeth has become a simplified joy!
I bought a Soladey toothbrush in the summer and have been using it ever since. I\'ve since paid two visits to the dental hygienist (at a private practice so the standard is extremely high) and the lady can not believe how incredibly clean my teeth are. I showed her the brush (which I use without any tooth paste/powder) and she said she\'ll recommend it to all the staff at the practice! I even use it for my dog - with a different brush head, of course! I highly recommend the Soladey toothbrush. So glad I discovered it.
Hi, Further to our chat this morning I thought you might like to know that my oral hygeniest, who is really excellent at her job, is amazed that my teeth and gums are in such good condition as I "only" always use an ionic toothbrush with no toothpaste!
