What does the artist sponge set include?

This set contains at least 6 pieces of sponge crossing 4 different species and we sell each set by weight (25g). Contents can include:

  • Honeycomb sponge - soft, durable, absorbent and with textures that give paint effects ranging from stippling to honeycomb patterns
  • Macho fina - firm with a stiff, almost scratchy surface
  • Sea wool - super absorbent, very soft, ideal for applying paint and absorbing excess water and paint
  • Stiff elephant ear - with its flat profile and firm surface texture, this sponge gives precision in many paint application and removal techniques. This sponge can easily be cut into specific shapes and used for stamping patterns.
  • Silk Fina - soft durable general purpose.
  • Sea Grass - with its shaggy texture, medium absorbency this sponge can be used to create interesting textures to represent rocks, tree foliage etc.
