Product Description:

Neem oil, a cold pressed oil made from the seeds of the neem tree, has been used for thousands of years for cosmetic use, in natural remedies and for plant care. From treating the skin, hair, scalp, nails and teeth, and even as a navel oil, neem oil is a truly versatile cosmetic. Neem oil is known for its distinctive sharp, pungent aroma. With it being nearly solid at room temperature, we provide it in a glass jar, so you can access it easily at any time, even if you just need one tiny drop. Neem oil is rarely used neat, most often it is diluted in another carrier oil or in a mixture of soap and water.

Ingredients

INCI Neem Oil (Melia Azadirachta indica Seed Oil), cold pressed from the seeds.

Properties

Antifungal, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, high in emollients and high in antioxidants compounds such as triglycerides and triterpenoids. High in Vitamin E to help with skin regeneration. High in vitamin C to encourage the growth of natural collagen. High in omega 9 oil – ideal for softening the skin, tackling wrinkles, areas of dark pigmentation and stretch marks.

Neem oil has a very strong aroma, described as musty, garlicky or like mustard but once the neem oil has been diluted by a carrier oil, this diminishes and the scent can be modified further by adding a few drops of essential oil such as lemon, lemongrass, rosemary, lavender, eucalyptus or tea tree oil.
