What’s Included?

Each kit contains:

A razor is not included. Please check your selected option before adding the kit to your basket.

Choose Your Shaving Soap

Original Unfragranced

Our simplest option, made without added fragrance or essential oils. It has only the natural scent of the soap.

Ingredients: Cannabis sativa oil, aqua, potassium hydroxide.

Eucalyptus

Our hemp oil shaving soap with organic eucalyptus essential oil for a fresh, distinctive fragrance.

Ingredients: Cannabis sativa oil, aqua, potassium hydroxide, Eucalyptus globulus leaf oil.

Neroli

Our hemp oil shaving soap with organic neroli essential oil for a delicate citrus fragrance.

Ingredients: Cannabis sativa oil, aqua, potassium hydroxide, Citrus aurantium flower oil.

The oil, water and potassium hydroxide are used in the soap-making process known as saponification, producing soap and naturally occurring glycerine.

Eucalyptus and Neroli contain essential oils and fragrance allergens. If you avoid added fragrance, choose Original Unfragranced. No product can be guaranteed suitable for every skin type.

Natural Volcanic Alum Styptic

Each set includes a small piece of natural volcanic alum, approximately 1–2cm, sourced from Morocco or India.

A traditional shaving accessory, the alum styptic can be wetted and applied locally to minor shaving nicks. It may sting on broken skin.

Rinse after use and allow it to dry before storing.

Optional Horsehair Shaving Brush

Choose a brush-included set if you would like a horsehair shaving brush with your soap and alum.

The brush helps you spread the soft shaving soap evenly over the shaving area. Wet it before use, apply a small amount of soap and work gently over damp skin.

The brush contains animal hair and is not vegan. Rinse thoroughly after use and leave to air-dry.

How to Use Your Shaving Kit

• Wet the shaving area with warm water.
• Apply a small amount of hemp oil shaving soap using your fingertips or a damp shaving brush.
• Spread into a thin, even layer. This is a low-foaming soap, so you don’t need a thick foam.
• Allow a short time for the hair to soften, then shave gently with your usual razor.
• Rinse your skin thoroughly.
• If needed, wet the alum and apply locally to a minor shaving nick.
• Rinse your brush and alum after use and leave them to dry.

Storage and Care

Keep the soap jar securely closed and store it in a cool, dark place. Follow the shelf-life and usage guidance on the product label.

Allow the alum to dry between uses and protect it from knocks, as the crystal can break.

Rinse the horsehair brush thoroughly after each shave and leave it in a well-ventilated place to dry.

Is a razor included?

No. These kits contain shaving soap and alum, with a horsehair brush included in selected sets. Use them with your own razor.

Which soap has no added fragrance?

Original Unfragranced contains no added fragrance or essential oils.

Does the shaving soap make a thick foam?

No. It is a traditional, low-foaming soft soap that spreads into a thin layer, helping you see the area you’re shaving.

Is the shaving brush vegan?

No. The brush is made with horsehair.

Can I use the soap without a brush?

Yes. You can apply and spread it using your fingertips.

What is the difference between the alum options?

The Original and Eucalyptus combinations are paired with white alum, while the Neroli combination is paired with rose-tinted alum. Check the selected option for the contents of your set.
