Tax Allowable Gifts to Employees and some Directors – £50

Christmas is a great time to say thank you to our members of staff and employees. Whether you run a business or employ people such as home helpers, cleaners and gardeners at home, a token of your gratitude goes a long way.

• Did you know, in some circumstances, a director who run a Limited company can qualify to give themselves a tax deductible gift of up to £50, which is known in tax talk as a ‘trivial benefit.’
• Anyone who has employees whether in a business or in the home – such as a home help, gardener etc, can also give a gift up to £50 which includes postage. Cash doesn’t count, but it can be a shopping voucher.
  On a ‘trivial benefit’ of £50 or less, no Tax or NI is payable and the cost of the gift is tax deductible.

How Our Eco Gift Voucher Works

We will email you the receipt and send an email to the lucky recipient.

Tip: Arrange the gift voucher well before Christmas, their birthday or celebration. Contact the recipient to make sure they have received the voucher by email. Ask them to go ahead and make their online purchase. Contact them on their big day – by that point they should have ordered and received the order and you will know that they will have an amazing day exploring and enjoying all their eco products!
