About the Organic Rose Water
This pure and very special rose water is made from dew covered rose blooms gathered from daybreak through the mid-morning during the flowering season. The daily harvest is steam distilled directly on the farm giving the freshest and most vibrant of rose waters.
This rose water is distilled from varieties specially chosen for their high levels of rose oil. With the reputed aphrodisiac qualities of rose water and gentle astringent action, means that it will always be more than a natural toner, cleanser and skin conditioner!
Its distinctive damask fragrance, often used as a perfume ingredient holds meaning across cultures and is evocative to almost every person.
Rose water contains over 400 different compounds, making it impossible to replicate. These include, Vitamin C, terpenes, glycocides, flavonoids, quarcetin, kaempferol and anthocyanins.
About Organic Witch Hazel
While everyone is familiar with the rose, some might be surprized, that witch hazel water is the steam distillate of the leaves bark and twigs of a shrub or small tree which grows in North America. Witch Hazel is high in tannins, quercetin, kaemferol and eugenol and gallate.
Although witch hazel is used by North American Indians for inflamed skin, itchy skin and to fade bruises and blemishes. It is known for its astringent and anti-bacterial properties. By appreciating how these ingredients are used on their own, it is possible to formulate a combination which is perfect for your skin type and method of use. We have now obtained Organic and Raw Which Hazel, 100% pure, full strength and due to it being naturally high in terpenes, it contains added no alcohol. We our so please with our current stock which is full of wild character: Leafy, smokey, earthy, almost burn earth and barky. It like no witch hazel we have every had before and we really welcome it to our range.
About Organic Lavender Water
Always with an aroma unique to lavender, this organic and pure floral water, grown on a high altitude plain in France, is more intensely scented still. The purple-blue flowers are picked from July, in the mornings when they have developed the highest concentrations of linalool, linalyl acetate, lavanduol, eucalyptol (1,8 cineole), lavandulyl acetate and camphor and they are dried before being steam distilled. Lavender water has so many uses, for the skin, hair, the mouth and it is so potent, enhancing Alpha activity wave in the brain, inducing relaxation, mindfullness and a meditative state.
About Organic Orange Flower Water
Steam distilled in Morocco from the flowers of the bitter orange tree, Citrus Aurantum, this is an ingredient for toners and cleanser that suits all skin types. Even on its own, this floral water is bursting with aroma character, citrus, floral, fruity, a tiny bit spicy with green earthy aromas too. The exotic scent is distinctive and long lasting and it is know for reducing anxiety and for its uplifting effect on the mood as well as its calming qualities, especially in women.
Using Rose Water or Orange Flower Water on its own
Soak a piece of cloth or a pre-dampened tiny sponge with rose water or orange flower water and gently wipe over the face neck and hands to cleanse and tone the skin. Alternatively splash the floral water on with the hands, or use a spray mister and allow it to dry on the skin naturally. Rose water and Orange flower water can be used to good effect as a cleanser and toner between washing with clay and applying argan oil.
Rose water and Orange flower water have cooling properties and can be used as a cooling and freshening mist on the body or to cool skin which has been overexposed to the sun.
Rose water can also be mixed with Rhassoul clay for extra special face masks, skin cleansing and hair washing.
Rose water can also be used as a room spray or be sprayed onto carpets to create a natural summer fragrance.
Spray on the hair or add to rhassoul clay shampoo to add extra shine.
Rose water and Orange Flower Water are both excellent for reconditioning dry lips. Spray some Rose Water on the lips and rub with the finger, or better still a Tiny Silk Fina sponge until it has evaporated, rub slightly on the inside of the lips also to remove all staining from food and drink. Once the rosewater has completely evaporated, the lips will be smooth and comfortable. Now apply Argan Lip Balm for the smoothest most comfortable results. I use Rose or Orange Flower Water to clean my lips twice as day and it is much easier to keep them moisturized now.

Using Witch Hazel on Its Own
With its astringent properties, it is frequently used in cleaners toners and aftershaves and to tighten loose skin
Mucus membranes – add to your homemade (green clay toothpaste) or use as a mouthwash to tighten loose gums, stop bleeding in gums. Apply directly to treat minors sores in the mouth.
Add a few drops to your rhassoul clay shampoo to reduce itchiness, redness and scalp sensitivity.
Skin – Clean blackheads, whiteheads and pimples several times a day to help prevent breakouts.
Use as a facial cleanser to reduce bacteria, clean away excess oil, tighten the skin such as around the eyes (do not get it in the eyes).
A cloth soaked in witch hazel can be used on varicose veins and you should elevate the part being treated to reduce the blood pressure in the veins to make the treatment more effective.
Witch hazel makes a very effective after sun and cools down skin which has been over exposed to the sun.

Using Lavender Floral Water on Its Own
High in antioxidants, lavender water is used as a skin cleanser, to sooth and invigorate the skin and to regenerate healthy skin cells. Use in the same way as rose water as a cleanser, toner or spritz. Mix with rhassoul clay to enhance detoxification and regenerating powers during face washing or for face masks or combine with rose water for drier more delicate skin or witch hazel for oilier skin to enhance the benefits and fine tune for your exact skin type or combination.
Due to its anti-microbial nature, lavender water is friendly and even beneficial for skin troubled by acne, eczema, psoriasis, itchy skin and dry skin and it can be used as an after sun, on burnt skin, skin afflicted by insect bites and even as a light deodorant. This floral water repels mosquitos and calms inflammed skin making it ideal as a natural aftershave. Just rub or spray it onto the skin and let it air dry.
Scalp and Hair
With its anti-fungal properties, lavender helps against dandruff and to stimulate hair growth. Lavender water can be used as a prewash or post wash treatment on the scalp. It can be mixed with rhassoul clay to form a shine enhancing shampoo and even to help remediate alopecia and hair thinning, promoting optimum hair growth.
Using the lavender water on the brain and head area where it can be absorbed and inhaled reduces anxiety, stress, depression and insomnia, by enhancing the alpha wave activity in the brain. Its analgesic qualities can also be used to relief headaches and to ease tired muscles and it lowers the heart rate and blood pressure. It can also be sprayed on the pillow before going to sleep to good effect.
Lavender water can be used as a mouthwash and as a gargle to easy dry, itchy or sore throats where it leaves a fresh and clean aroma.

Mix up small quantities to start with so that you find the blend which really works for you. Measure or weigh the ingredients separately in a clean vessel. Pour into a clean bottle or glass jar.Label the jar with the quantity of each ingredient, so you can repeat it or refine it next time. The shelf life of the ingredients will be increased if you store your homemade toner in the refrigerator.
